In a scathing attack, AAP leader Manish Sisodia declared the BJP’s first year governing Delhi a resounding flop across all sectors. Addressing a gathering in the capital, he accused CM Rekha Gupta’s team of deceit and unkept promises that have left residents high and dry.
The event, attended by Saurabh Bharadwaj and Kuldeep Kumar, featured a bold poster: ‘One Year On, Delhi Suffering, Kejriwal We Miss You.’ Sisodia highlighted the dashed hopes of diverse groups—from women to the underprivileged.
Topping the list of failures: the broken vow of monthly Rs 2,500 for women, promised to kick off in March 2025. ‘Empty words, empty pockets,’ Sisodia lamented.
Environmental mismanagement was another low point. Delhi endured its worst air ever, with accusations of data fudging via monitor shifts and artificial misting. Yamuna ‘revival’ claims? Mere illusions with staged clean water shows.
Schools faced turmoil. Fee surges in private institutions went unchecked, public school funding cut, star projects like Schools of Excellence terminated. Kejriwal-era curricula on happiness and business skills were junked.
Employment crisis deepened: Lakhs of contract staff fired, marshals jobless despite permanence pledges. Clinics closed, hospital freebies gone.
Slum dwellers got eviction notices instead of homes. Ration cards yanked for 8 lakh families, pensions for vulnerable cut off.
Safety concerns skyrocketed—hundreds missing, murders rampant. Infrastructure decay: cratered roads, flooded sewers, endless trash heaps.
Sisodia wrapped up by saying this year’s governance has plunged Delhi into despair, with citizens yearning for Arvind Kejriwal’s return to fix the mess.
