Sambhal’s Kalki Dham witnessed a momentous occasion on Thursday as Peethadheeshwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam received the ‘Jagatguru’ title from Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad chief Mahant Ravindra Puri. The conferment took place amid the vibrant Kalki Sthapana Diwas program, attended by saints from Anand Akhada and other esteemed groups.
Flowers rained down as the saints endorsed the title, with Anand Akhada’s Mahamandaleshwar Swami Balakand Giri Maharaj proclaiming the new official name: Poojya Pad Jagatguru Poojya Swami Pramod Krishnam Bharti Ji Maharaj.
In his response, Acharya Pramod Krishnam conveyed heartfelt thanks to Mahant Ravindra Puri. He underscored his aspiration to serve Sanatan Dharma selflessly, stating, ‘My entire life is dedicated to promoting Shri Kalki Dham, Lord Kalki, and upholding Sanatan principles for the benefit of the world.’
Surprised by the honor, he shared that he never imagined such recognition for a ‘humble servant’ like himself. Notably, this marked Mahant Puri’s debut visit to the annual event, which Acharya Pramod regretted not greeting more adequately.
This prestigious award not only elevates Acharya Pramod’s stature but also spotlights his vocal positions, including sharp critiques of political figures like Rahul Gandhi, whose behaviors he likened to disruptive separatist activities in Kashmir. The event symbolizes a strengthening of traditional spiritual leadership in contemporary times.
