In a significant boost to India’s creative tech landscape, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the Waves Creators Corner at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. Conceived as a hands-on innovation workspace, this pavilion spotlights AI’s revolutionary applications across the animation, VFX, gaming, comics, and XR sectors.
Vaishnaw, addressing the gathering, positioned the corner as an integral part of the ministry’s flagship programs—WAVES-X, WAVES Market, and the Create in India Challenge. His detailed walkthrough allowed interactions with budding startups and leaders from Adobe, Netflix, Sony, and Amazon, fostering potential collaborations.
The exhibits were nothing short of futuristic: from real-time game prototyping and live prompt-to-film production to AWS and BharatGen’s AI-driven newsroom automating editorial processes. Standouts included ServM’s voice cloning tech powering the Indus Chat app for multilingual dialogues, NFDC’s immersive 270-degree AI cinema, Sony’s innovative facial and vocal de-aging tools, and Whistling Woods’ accessible markerless motion capture solutions compatible with everyday cameras like iPhones.
As the summit progresses at Bharat Mandapam, the pavilion will serve as a venue for high-profile talks, masterclasses by filmmakers, and deep-dive tech sessions. The event’s broader narrative gained momentum when Vaishnaw, speaking to media on Tuesday, announced India’s intent to gift the world a game-changing AI framework for healthcare. He stressed accelerating AI adoption in farming and medicine, echoing PM Modi’s commitment to tech accessibility for billions, poised to redefine healthcare delivery globally.
