On Monday, PM Modi kicked off the expo at Bharat Mandapam, asserting that India’s AI advancements would craft transformative solutions domestically while boosting global progress. The expo coincides with the historic India AI Impact Summit 2026, marking the Global South’s debut as host to a major international AI conclave. Attendance is record-breaking, featuring more than 20 world leaders, 60 ministers, and 500 top AI experts from around the world.
Participants from diverse sectors—heads of state, policymakers, tech giants, academics, and industry players—are engaging in dialogues on leveraging AI for equitable development, resilient public infrastructure, and sustainable goals.
