On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made a heartfelt pilgrimage to the ancient Bhavnath Mahadev shrine nestled in Girnar’s foothills. His worship rituals marked a poignant close to the vibrant five-day fair in Junagadh, where spiritual fervor peaks.
Joined by state Energy Minister Kaushikbhai Vekariya, Patel’s darshan was a moment of pure reverence. The duo participated in sacred rites, drawing inspiration from the self-arisen deity revered across generations.
The fair’s concluding day saw Patel honoring a galaxy of saints in the temple complex. Draping them in angavastras, he bowed to their wisdom, fostering an atmosphere of communal piety. This gathering of sadhus from diverse traditions amplified the event’s mystical aura.
Patel’s spiritual journey extended to the timeless Akhand Dhuna and the serene Mrigi Kund, where he offered prayers amid chanting devotees. Inside the satsang hall, interactions with luminaries like Muktanand Bapu, Hariharanand Bapu, and others enriched his soul, as he sought their benedictions.
Local dignitaries, including Collector Anil Kumar Ranavasiya and board secretary Ramesh Merja, presented ceremonial gifts. Festival chief Charansingh Gohil shared insights into the mega event’s logistics. Patel’s easy rapport with attendees reflected his approachable leadership style.
