Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta marked Mahashivratri with a pilgrimage to Rajasthan’s revered Shri Amarkh Mahadev Temple in Udaipur’s Amberi area. On Sunday, she performed elaborate rituals alongside her ministerial team, invoking Lord Shiva’s benevolence for the capital’s inhabitants.
Posting on X, Gupta highlighted the temple’s centuries-old significance as a hub of asceticism and divine awareness. She portrayed Mahashivratri as a festival igniting inner divinity, with Shiva representing infinity, void, and the cosmic flow of existence.
Her invocation sought unwavering divine favor for Delhiites and countrymen, fortifying their resolve for selfless service. The gathering included prominent figures like Ministers Ashish Sood and Ravindra Indraj, legislator Anil Sharma, and BJP stalwarts from Rajasthan.
From there, Gupta proceeded to the iconic Nathdwara Temple for darshan of Srinathji, celebrating Krishna’s embodiment of compassion and guardianship. She wove together Shiva’s meditative power and Krishna’s loving grace as pillars of eternal truth.
Extending festive wishes, she called Mahashivratri the grand celebration of Shiva-Parvati’s union, awakening universal consciousness. Prayers focused on enduring peace, joy, and Delhi’s flourishing future.
On the governance front, Delhi unveiled plans to digitize land ownership by issuing unique 14-digit identifiers for all properties. This transformative policy targets outdated records, curbing disputes and empowering residents with secure, verifiable land titles.
