Imagine settling your traffic challan from your smartphone without the usual hassle. That’s the reality now in Delhi, thanks to the Delhi Traffic Police’s groundbreaking ‘Digital Lok Adalat’ app, launched in partnership with DSLSA and NIC. This tech marvel was virtually unveiled by Delhi High Court Justice V. Kameswar Rao and DSLSA’s Executive Chairman, in the presence of top police brass.
For years, Delhiites endured frustrating waits for updates on lok adalat-resolved traffic violations. The old system was plagued by delays, opacity, and manual errors. Enter Digital Lok Adalat: a one-stop app offering real-time challan insights, instant SMS alerts to vehicle owners, and integration with virtual courts for automatic updates everywhere.
No more chasing paperwork or worrying about data mismatches. Challan info loads straight into the app, streamlining court processes and cutting down on repetition. Currently live at the Special Lok Adalat, it has processed downloads for 1,92,444 cases in a single go, with status notifications zipping out via SMS.
The impact? A sharp drop in pending cases, quicker closures for motorists, fewer mistakes from manual handling, and heightened efficiency plus transparency in dispute resolutions. As Delhi Traffic Police embraces technology, road safety gets a boost, services sharpen up, and citizens enjoy hassle-free access to justice.
