In a fiery speech at Kharagpur, senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s farmer-friendly policies, asserting that agrarians nationwide repose full faith in the PM’s leadership. Commenting on Piyush Goyal’s invocation of ‘Annadatta Devo Bhava,’ Ghosh pointed to the repeal of farm laws as proof of Modi’s dedication.
‘PM Modi openly acknowledged our shortcomings in explaining the reforms to farmers. Recognizing the urgency, he withdrew the legislation to prioritize their welfare,’ Ghosh reminisced, underscoring the government’s flexibility.
Ghosh reserved sharp criticism for Jamaat-e-Islami, branding it a perpetual adversary to India’s unity. ‘This outfit has always backed division, but Indians’ love for the nation and ‘Vande Mataram’ prevails,’ he told reporters.
Addressing Bangladesh’s BNP victory, the BJP stalwart appealed for calm governance. ‘I request BNP leaders and citizens to ensure peaceful administration and progress, given our shared borders,’ he said.
Local politics came under fire as Ghosh condemned TMC’s proposal for a Babar-named mosque in Murshidabad. Accusing the party of exploiting religious sentiments, he challenged Bengal’s voters: ‘Opt for growth or fall into the trap of mandir-masjid games?’
As West Bengal gears up for polls, parties are clashing on development agendas, patriotic fervor, and regional grievances. Ghosh, transitioning from RSS roots to BJP forefront, remains a key influencer in this charged atmosphere.
