‘This session will be remembered in infamy,’ Chaturvedi asserted, predicting it would be recorded as a dark chapter in parliamentary history. Central to her indictment was the muzzling of Rahul Gandhi, prevented from citing passages from a ex-Army Chief’s account of Galwan and leadership choices during crises. Despite the officer’s extensive writings on his service, the opposition leader’s reference was dismissed as treasonous.
Chaturvedi further accused the Prime Minister of snubbing the House by skipping the President’s address thanks debate. She highlighted derogatory comments towards female parliamentarians and the mass suspension of opposition voices. Dismissing the Budget as indifferent to the masses’ struggles with rising costs, she warned of public discontent.
