Kasdol, Chhattisgarh erupted into controversy after a farewell program at Swami Atmanand School featured audacious vehicle stunts by students, including minors. A video exploding across social platforms forced police to intervene decisively, apprehending 16 people and confiscating four cars.
Footage captured the chaos: young participants balancing on car roofs, dangling from doors, and hanging out of windows as vehicles sped along. The involvement of underage students amplified concerns over youth safety and reckless trends.
Under the SP’s orders, Kasdol police pieced together evidence from viral clips, online shares, and community tips for a rapid probe. The group includes 12 minors and four adults—drivers and vehicle owners—who confessed during questioning that farewell fervor drove their actions.
Parents witnessed sharp rebukes for the juveniles, who were educated on the criminality and life-threatening nature of these stunts. Future violations promise harsher penalties, police affirmed.
Impounding the vehicles, officers filed charges under Motor Vehicles Act Section 184 against the owners. Named drivers: Shubham Chelk (19), Aditya Kumar Kashyap (19), Vikas Sahu (22), Gajadhar Sahu (45).
Labeling it a symptom of social media’s toxic allure, police urged vigilance from families and educators. Schools must enforce rules at celebratory gatherings to prevent such endangerment.
The operation delivers a firm ultimatum to thrill-seekers: safety trumps spectacle, and law enforcement stands ready to act.
