In a scathing attack during a public meeting in Mulugu, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy exposed what he called the dark underbelly of BRS governance: a systematic phone tapping racket used for blackmail and loot. The Sunday rally, focused on municipal polls, turned into a platform for Reddy to detail the alleged crimes.
‘ BRS turned into a blackmail syndicate, siphoning 1,500 crores into party coffers by threatening tapped conversations,’ Reddy declared. He accused KCR of abusing power over 10 years to amass illegal wealth, citing BJP MP Konda Visheshwar Reddy’s ordeal where business tycoons were coerced into handing over assets.
From opposition politicians to media personnel, judges, celebrities, and even intimate marital talks—nothing was off-limits for BRS spies, according to Reddy. The CM lambasted the KCR family’s opulent media and business ventures, contrasting them with the housing crisis for the underprivileged.
‘They splurged thousands of crores on personal empires but left the poor homeless. Congress is now delivering: 3,500 Indiramma houses per assembly segment, totaling 4.5 lakh units costing 22,500 crores,’ he announced proudly.
Targeting the Centre, Reddy questioned why CBI probes weren’t ordered for mega scams like Kaleshwaram. ‘Union Minister Kishan Reddy stays mum, morphed into KCR’s proxy. BJP hounds Gandhis but protects KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao,’ he alleged.
The government has allocated 17,442 crores for urban local bodies, with substantial funds for Warangal municipalities, including 92 crores for Bhupalpalli. On district restructuring rumors, Reddy clarified: ‘No mergers or creations without stakeholder input and legislative scrutiny.’
Wrapping up, Reddy positioned Congress as the true people’s champion, warning against the BRS-BJP nexus aiming to derail progress. The crowd erupted in cheers, signaling strong anti-incumbency against the former rulers.
