In a significant boost to India’s aerospace sector, Adani University in Ahmedabad hosted the opening of the IETE West Zone Seminar focused on ‘Trends and Innovations in Aerospace Electronics’ and the IETE Students Forum Congress 2026. Organized by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers from Delhi, the event united top minds from defense, space exploration, finance, and academia across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar venues.
By hosting the inaugural sessions, the university solidified its position as a frontrunner in tech-centric learning and R&D, contributing meaningfully to national goals of enhancing aerospace and electronics prowess.
The highlight was the keynote by Adani Defence and Aerospace CEO Ashish Rajvanshi, who delved into how electronics and avionics are reshaping nation-building efforts. He shared insights on achieving self-reliance under Atmanirbhar Bharat and charting a course for Developed India 2047.
Adani University’s Provost, Prof. (Dr.) Dhaval Pujara, spoke on the institution’s emphasis on fostering innovation through education, superior research, and partnerships in frontier technologies. Preeti Agarwal, IETE Ahmedabad Center Chair, gave the welcome address.
According to IETE President Sunil, the program included in-depth technical sessions exploring breakthroughs in aerospace tech, ongoing research, and future innovation pathways, led by domain experts. Events unfolded at both cities, starting with a ceremonial lamp-lighting at the university’s Shantigram campus in Ahmedabad.
A diverse crowd of professionals, educators, researchers, and young scholars engaged dynamically, making it a powerhouse for idea-sharing and collaboration. The chief guest was ISRO’s Space Applications Centre Director Nilesh Desai, joined by Union Bank of India’s MD & CEO Ashish Pandey as special invitee.
As discussions progressed, the seminar highlighted the synergy between education, industry, and government in driving India’s aerospace future, positioning Adani University as a key player in this transformative journey.
