Bihar’s law enforcers struck a decisive blow against organized crime as Vaishali STF and local police eliminated fugitive Prince in a fierce exchange of gunfire in Digghi’s Hanuman Nagar. The operation claimed the life of the dreaded dacoit while his associate was arrested with a firearm. Hailing from Husseina village, Prince alias Abhijeet Kumar was deeply embedded in Subodh Singh’s gold robbery empire, facing dozens of charges from loot to homicide.
SP Vikram Sinhag recounted the sequence: intelligence pinpointed Prince’s hideout, prompting a swift raid. Gunshots erupted from the suspect, met with police counterfire. Rushed to hospital, Prince was pronounced dead. The site is now under FSL scrutiny.
At large for half a year, Prince’s rap sheet included 28 robberies, killings, and illegal arms possession. His cinematic breakout from PMCH on September 2, 2025, involved wining and dining eight cops with mutton before barricading them and vanishing. Prior to that, he had slaughtered a cop at Hajipur court in 2018 post-arrest and jailing.
Under his belt with Subodh’s crew: massive hauls like 56 kilos from Asansol, 55 from Hajipur, and others across states. This takedown disrupts a notorious network, signaling police resolve, yet challenges persist in dismantling the full syndicate.
