Raipur February 04, 2026// The 21st meeting of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Fund Advisory Committee was concluded today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai in Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in mineral resources. The state has abundant reserves of many minerals including Rare Earth Minerals. All mining projects currently underway in the state should be implemented with quality and within the stipulated time.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that IT and drone-like modern technologies should also be used to further enhance the monitoring being done by the special task force on illegal transportation and mining of minerals. Technology will enable better and continuous monitoring of illegal activities.
Chief Minister Shri Sai sought information regarding the monitoring of expenditure and progress of works through the Mineral 2.0 portal under PMKKKY. He directed for better monitoring and effective implementation of DMF works through the establishment of a State Level Central Program Management Unit under the District Mineral Trust Act for the quality of works and timely implementation of projects.
The committee approved Rs 328 crore for the Chirimiri-Nagpur railway line under the transport network (railway line) and Rs 60.10 crore for the construction of the Chhattisgarh Railway Corridor, including 1-East Corridor and 3-East West Corridors, and Rs 24.10 crore as quasi-equity.
The committee approved Rs 112.70 crore for the development of various projects as CMDC’s 49 percent stake in the NMDC-CMDC Company Limited (NCL) joint venture and an additional Rs 10 crore for departmental work for Mineral Development Corporation Limited (CMDC).
The committee approved Rs 138.17 crore for departmental work, including the Central Program Management Unit (CPMU) for monitoring DMF-related works under the District Mineral Trust Act, monitoring of illegal transportation of major and minor minerals using IT and drone technology, execution of various technical works from external sources, payment for surveys, prospecting and various projects under geology, auction of mineral blocks under the Directorate of Geology and Mining, and payment for Mineral Online 2.0.
Information was given in the meeting regarding the implementation of works completed in the 20th meeting of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Fund Advisory Committee.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Shri O P Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister cum Secretary Finance Shri Mukesh Bansal, Secretary to the Chief Minister cum Secretary Mineral Resources Department Shri P Dayanand, Director Mineral Shri Rajat Bansal, and other officials.
