The sequel ‘Border 2’ has captivated audiences, raking in big numbers at the theatres with its star-studded cast of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Amid the frenzy, emerging actress Medha Rana shines in her role as the steadfast wife of a brave major.
Hailing from a lineage of army personnel—spanning three generations—Medha brought lived experiences to the screen. Her father continues to serve, mirroring the very struggles depicted in the film.
The moment she got the green light still brings tears. ‘After grueling auditions, Chhabra sir called me in person. I cried endlessly from sheer happiness. Being part of this epic was beyond my wildest dreams,’ Medha recounted.
Dhanvanti Devi’s character is a tribute to the strength of military wives. ‘It’s emotionally intense, showcasing their sacrifices for the country,’ she explained.
Preparation was personal. ‘My nani shared stories from 1971 when nana was in Bangladesh during my mom’s birth. Those insights shaped my portrayal perfectly.’
On set with Varun, nerves quickly turned to excitement. ‘First day was daunting, but Varun’s support and lessons made it memorable.’
Unlike the original ‘Border’, this installment explores deeper layers of love, family, and heroism in the face of unknown returns. Four distinct heroes unite to form an unforgettable saga of patriotism and heart.
