In a boost to Delhi’s student community, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena launched the fifth outpost of the ‘Arambh’ library chain in Vikaspuri on Thursday. The ceremony doubled as the reveal of artistic pillar fountains at major Dwarka road junctions, blending education with urban beautification.
According to DDA sources, this 24-hour facility caters to more than 180 learners each day through structured shifts, prioritizing West Delhi’s youth with a cost-effective study haven. It’s more than a library—it’s a comprehensive learning ecosystem tailored for intensive preparation.
Key highlights include seamless Wi-Fi connectivity, ergonomic modular desks, individual lockers for safety, pervasive CCTV coverage, and a dedicated cafeteria to keep students fueled during long sessions. Such features position ‘Arambh’ as a game-changer for accessible education.
LG Saxena lauded the project during his address, calling Delhi the epicenter of Indian education where ambitions from every corner of the country converge. He commended DDA’s role in providing world-class facilities affordably, especially for underprivileged students.
“Youth are our future; we must nurture them holistically,” he asserted, extending congratulations to the authority. At the Dwarka fountains event, Saxena reiterated the administration’s pledge to sustainable urban planning that aligns with the capital’s growing demands and public expectations.
This initiative underscores a strategic vision for educational equity, potentially inspiring similar models nationwide as Delhi continues to lead in innovative public services.
