In a bold move to supercharge Andhra Pradesh’s economy, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu kicked off his World Economic Forum visit in Zurich with a pivotal meeting alongside Singapore’s President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Arriving for the annual Davos summit, Naidu hailed the interaction on X as a moment of great honor.
Beyond this, Naidu engaged with heavyweights like World Bank President Ajay Banga and exchanged notes with Assam’s Himanta Biswa Sarma, praising the latter’s milestone as Assam’s inaugural WEF-attending CM.
The warm reception began at Zurich Airport, where Indian Ambassador Mridul Kumar and Union Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu joined a enthusiastic welcome from Telugu NRIs, TDP supporters, and community members from more than 20 European nations.
Posting on X, Naidu emphasized his pride in representing Andhra Pradesh at the WEF under the theme ‘A Spirit of Dialogue.’ The four-day summit expects 3,000 leaders from 130 nations, with seven CMs from India in attendance.
Andhra’s delegation is armed with compelling pitches targeting green energy revolutions, AI innovations, quantum tech leaps, biotech advancements, plus expansions in tourism, hospitality, education, and health sectors.
Spotlight projects feature Amaravati’s Quantum Valley, a massive skilling program for 100,000 quantum experts (50,000 registered), and Kakinada’s flagship green ammonia and hydrogen facility. Last year’s WEF efforts already locked in Rs 2.36 lakh crore worth of pledges, setting a strong precedent.
Naidu’s team will showcase policy incentives, infrastructure readiness, and visionary plans to global investors, positioning AP as India’s next investment powerhouse. This outreach promises to unlock transformative deals, boosting employment and development across the state.
