NDA heavyweights delivered a stinging response to Asaduddin Owaisi’s bold predictions of the Modi government’s collapse. ‘Daydreaming achieves nothing,’ they quipped, underscoring the unbreakable bond between PM Modi and the masses.
Speaking at a joint NDA conclave, Home Minister Amit Shah rubbished Owaisi’s claims, stating that the Prime Minister enjoys unparalleled support from every corner of the country. ‘From villages to cities, people repose faith in Modi’s decisive governance,’ Shah said, citing recent assembly poll sweeps as evidence.
The AIMIM leader had accused the NDA of failing on promises like employment and inflation control. NDA spokespersons countered by reeling off successes: record foreign investments, expanded welfare schemes reaching 80 crore beneficiaries, and India’s rising global stature.
Leaders from Shiv Sena, JD(U), and other allies joined in, praising Modi’s crisis management during COVID-19 and his push for self-reliance. ‘Owaisi’s isolated voice can’t drown out the roar of 140 crore Indians backing Modi,’ remarked a senior TDP figure.
This isn’t the first time Owaisi has locked horns with the NDA. His party has consistently opposed key bills, yet struggles electorally outside Hyderabad. Meanwhile, NDA’s unity and Modi’s charisma keep opposition attacks at bay.
Looking ahead, with state polls on the horizon, NDA is strategizing to leverage Modi’s image. Owaisi’s barbs, though attention-grabbing, appear to have little impact on the ground reality of Modi’s sustained dominance.
