Grizzly School students have once again showcased exceptional talent, securing gold medals at the selection trials for the 69th School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National School Sports Competition 2025-26. This outstanding performance not only brings pride to the school but also highlights the district’s athletic prowess. The SGFI selection trials were held at Ganpat Rai Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon Mega Sports Complex in Ranchi, drawing over 200 participants representing Jharkhand state.
Seven promising young male athletes from Grizzly School participated in this prestigious event. Under the expert guidance of coach Saurav Kumar Pathak, the Grizzly athletes demonstrated commendable sportsmanship and discipline, delivering impressive performances. Pankaj Raj, Piyush Kumar, Abhishek Kumar Yadav, and Sachin Kumar Yadav clinched gold medals, achieving first place. Shrikant Gupta and Adarsh Kumar, along with Devanshu Kumar, secured third place, further enhancing the school’s reputation.
As a direct result of their success, four Grizzly School athletes have qualified for the 69th SGFI National School Sports Competition 2025-26. Pankaj Raj and Piyush Kumar earned their spots in the Under-14 age category, while Abhishek Yadav and Sachin Kumar Yadav qualified for the national level in the Under-19 age category.
This achievement is a moment of immense pride for the entire institution. School CEO Prakash Gupta congratulated the athletes and their coach, emphasizing that this success is a testament to the players’ hard work, dedication, and consistent training. Principal Anjana Kumari lauded the winning students and Coach Saurav Kumar Pathak, stating that their commitment serves as an inspiration to other students.
