A shocking case of sexual exploitation has come to light in the Gua police station area of West Singhbhum district. A young man has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody for allegedly luring a minor girl into a relationship with the promise of marriage and subsequently exploiting her. The grim reality of the situation surfaced when the victim became pregnant, prompting her family to file a formal complaint with the authorities.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Krishna Sinku from Dipasai village in Jagannathpur police station area, allegedly maintained a physical relationship with the minor for approximately two years under the pretense of marriage. The victim’s father, Bango Champia of Thakuragaon Mundatoli, filed a written complaint detailing the prolonged deception and exploitation.
Upon receiving the complaint, an First Information Report (FIR) was registered at Gua police station. Acting swiftly on the directives of the Superintendent of Police, a dedicated police team, led by Kiriiburu Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ajay Kumar Kerketta, apprehended the main accused, Krishna Sinku, from his village, Dipasai.
The victim’s statement has been recorded by the police, and she has been sent for medical examination at Sadar Hospital, Chaibasa. The arrested accused was produced before the court and has been sent to judicial custody in Chaibasa jail. Investigations into the full extent of the case are ongoing, with further legal actions anticipated.
