Authorities in Ramgarh have made a grim discovery, recovering the dismembered remains of a young man who had been missing for three months. The victim, identified as Sonu Kumar Ram, was last seen on September 17th. Police located the body parts late Thursday night near the residence of the alleged killer in Shibu Colony, Nehru Road. One suspect has been apprehended in connection with the crime. Ramgarh Police Station Officer Naveen Prakash Pandey confirmed that the recovered remains are believed to belong to Sonu Kumar Ram, though official confirmation awaits forensic analysis. The missing person report was filed by Sonu’s father, Vijay Ram, after he failed to return home following the Vishwakarma Puja. Community members had organized protests advocating for his safe return, but his whereabouts remained unknown for months. The last known location of Sonu’s mobile phone was traced near the home of Ranjit Singh, also known as ‘Nana Bhai’, a resident of Nehru Road’s Shibu Colony. Persistent police investigation and questioning of Ranjit Singh eventually led to a confession. He reportedly revealed the location where Sonu was murdered and how his body was dismembered and scattered. Preliminary investigations suggest illicit relations may have been the motive behind this brutal act. The arrested suspect is currently undergoing interrogation, and further inquiries are being made into the involvement of his family members.
