Tensions flared in the Jagsimar Panchayat of Bhelwaghati police station area in Giridih following the news of Upendra Yadav’s death under suspicious circumstances. Reports indicate that Yadav was returning home from Chatro market late in the evening when he met his demise near Fatehpur. His family has voiced strong suspicions of foul play, leading to widespread mourning and anger in the village. Locals, demanding the swift arrest of alleged perpetrators, have blocked a road, bringing traffic to a standstill. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajendra Prasad, who visited the scene, is attempting to pacify the agitated crowd. While some villagers suggest the death might be a result of a road accident, the prevailing suspicion leans towards homicide, intensifying the already charged atmosphere. DSP Prasad has assured a thorough and impartial investigation, stating that both human and technical aspects will be meticulously examined. He pledged to apprehend and prosecute those responsible if the incident is confirmed as murder. Despite police assurances, villagers continued their protest and road blockade at the time of reporting.
