The individual identified as the mastermind behind the recent attack on popular Bollywood and Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria has been successfully deported to India. Sunil Sardhania, the alleged architect of the gun attack on the singer’s vehicle and the subsequent murder of his associate Rohit Shokeen, was apprehended in Zurich, Switzerland, and subsequently extradited.
Fazilpuria, renowned for his hit songs like ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ and ‘2 Many Girls’, narrowly escaped a shooting incident on July 14th near Badshahpur on Gurugram’s Southern Peripheral Road (SPR). Unidentified assailants reportedly fired two rounds at his car while he was driving. Fortunately, the singer managed to drive away unharmed.
Further investigations linked Sardhania to the fatal shooting of Rohit Shokeen, a close associate of Fazilpuria and a property dealer, who was killed in Gurugram’s Sector 77 on August 4th. Sardhania himself claimed responsibility for this murder via social media shortly after the incident. Investigations suggest the motive behind these crimes may stem from deep-seated gang rivalries and substantial financial disputes.
Authorities have been actively pursuing suspects, with several individuals already arrested in connection with both the attack on Fazilpuria and the murder of Shokeen. The investigation has also pointed towards a potential link involving Deepak Nandal, a friend of the deceased, suggesting a possible dispute over borrowed money and perceived insults.
Rahul Fazilpuria, also known as Rahul Yadav, is a prominent figure in the music industry and has a significant following on social media. He is also known for his association with Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, with whom he was previously involved in a controversial music video shoot. The ongoing efforts to bring all perpetrators to justice continue.
