A shocking incident unfolded in Jamshedpur’s Chakulia police station area, specifically in Jirapara village, where a son brutally murdered his mother. The accused, Jabbar Singh, reportedly used a sharp weapon to end the life of his 77-year-old mother, Sudha Bala Devi. Following the heinous crime, Singh voluntarily surrendered at the police station on Thursday morning, confessing to his actions.
The tragedy occurred on Wednesday night. The victim was discovered deceased on her cot inside their home. The accused, Jabbar Singh, was the only one present at the time, as his son, Mangal Singh, was visiting his in-laws. Preliminary reports suggest the motive behind the brutal act was a domestic dispute.
Upon receiving information, local law enforcement swiftly arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation and have since sent the body for post-mortem examination. A crowd of villagers gathered near the victim’s residence in the aftermath of the incident. Police are currently interrogating Jabbar Singh and are actively searching for the murder weapon, which he is believed to have discarded.
