Skoda India is preparing to launch the Octavia RS in the Indian market. Before its launch on October 17th, the brand will begin accepting bookings for the model on October 6th. Amidst preparations, the performance-oriented version of this car has been spotted multiple times without any camouflage. According to reports, the model was observed during a TV shoot, offering a clear glimpse of its design.
The car boasts a sporty appearance, enhanced by the LED matrix headlights and DRLs. It features 18-inch alloy wheels and distinct body lines. Inside, it includes sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and additional features.
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS design is based on the performance of its 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine. This engine generates 216 hp of power and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG transmission. Based on the UK-spec model, this version will not include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), which is available in other markets.
Powered by the 2.0-liter engine, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds. Its maximum speed is 250 km/h. With its RS designation, the car’s height is 15 mm lower than the regular model. The Czech brand has equipped the car with an exhaust system that distinguishes it from the normal variant, enhancing its sporty look.
Upon launch, the Skoda Octavia RS is estimated to be priced around 50 lakh rupees as it is a CBU. At this price point, it will directly compete with the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
