Mahindra is gearing up to launch three new SUVs during the festive season. The launch will begin with the updated Bolero Neo and the standard Bolero, both set to arrive on October 6th. Following these, the company will introduce the facelifted Thar 3-door. In addition to these three SUVs, Mahindra is also preparing to refresh its popular XUV700 range, which is slated for launch early next year.
Focusing on the Bolero Neo, this vehicle was previously known as the TUV300 before receiving a new name in 2021. This will be its second facelift, featuring a new grille, slightly modified bumpers, and minor cabin updates. Higher-end variants may include new upholstery and additional features. According to dealer reports, Mahindra has tuned the suspension for a more comfortable ride. The engine is expected to remain unchanged.
Along with the Bolero Neo, Mahindra will also be making minor updates to its popular standard Bolero. While specific details are limited, the updates will include subtle cosmetic changes to the exterior and some interior enhancements to give it a fresh look. The Bolero has been Mahindra’s most reliable vehicle for over two decades and remains a top-selling SUV, particularly in smaller cities and rural areas.
Following the Bolero, the company’s focus will shift to the Thar 3-door facelift. The second-generation Thar, launched in October 2020, has sold over 2.59 lakh units and has been a blockbuster success. This year, the Thar 3-door has accounted for over half of the sales of the entire Thar family, even with the larger Thar Roxx already available. The new facelift version will incorporate several updates from its larger model, such as a premium cabin, soft-touch materials, and a larger infotainment screen in the top variants. Exterior design changes have not yet been revealed, but the engine lineup will remain the same.
