TVS has introduced a new variant of the XL100 in its lineup, the XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy. This two-wheeler features tubeless tires on alloy wheels, and it comes with an ex-showroom price of ₹59,800. This makes it the most expensive variant in the model range, positioned at the top of the lineup. The model also has four other variants available.
The TVS XL100 Heavy Duty gets a distinct look with alloy wheels; red, blue, and gray color options further enhance this change. The remaining design elements remain unchanged, including a single seat, a round headlight, and handlebars. The TVS XL100 includes features such as EcoThrust fuel injection, self-start, LED headlight, and tubeless tires, providing better mileage, easy starting, and safety.
The XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy retains its mechanical specifications. It has a 99.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 4.3 hp of power and 6.5 Nm of peak torque. The remaining mechanical specifications are also the same, including telescopic front suspension and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Similarly, braking power is maintained via drum brakes on both sides. The company says that despite these changes, the curb weight is only 89 kg, which is the same as the other variants.
The new wheel configuration has not affected the curb weight; this variant weighs the same as three other XL 100 models, i.e., 89 kilograms, and is only 1 kilogram lighter than the base XL 100 Heavy Duty. It features an LED headlight, an easy on-off switch, a mobile charging facility, and more. With all of these, the XL100 has established a special place in the Indian market.
