Maruti Suzuki India, the largest car manufacturer in the country, has passed on the benefits of changes in Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates to its customers. This has led to price reductions of up to ₹1.10 lakh on several cars such as the Swift, Dzire, Baleno, Fronx, and Brezza. Consequently, the currently best-selling Maruti car, the Dzire, has become cheaper by approximately ₹86,000.
The new prices will be effective from September 22, the date when the revised GST rates are implemented. Maruti sells cars through its Arena and Nexa dealerships.
