Central London was the scene of a large-scale demonstration on Saturday, September 14, 2025. Over 100,000 individuals participated in far-right, anti-immigration protests, leading to clashes. Several officers were reportedly assaulted and targeted with projectiles during the events. Videos circulated online depicted a large crowd moving towards Westminster, the location of the UK Parliament. The ‘Unite the Kingdom’ protest march was organized by anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson. A counter-protest, organized by ‘Stand Up To Racism’, also took place near Whitehall. The Metropolitan Police Service reported that 26 officers were injured, and 25 arrests were made as a result of the confrontations. The policing operation concluded with central London returning to normal. London Mayor Sadiq Khan condemned the violence and the attacks on officers. Participants displayed the Union flag and the St George’s Cross, and some waved American and Israeli flags. Slogans critical of Prime Minister Keir Starmer were also chanted during the rally.
