During the latest episode of ‘Rise and Fall,’ a contestant asked Pawan Singh about his life before becoming a star. Pawan Singh responded, ‘It’s all about time; there was a time when we used to sleep on the roof with our family. Whenever a plane flew by, we’d talk with our siblings, wondering how people sit in those small aircraft.’
He continued, ‘We used to travel in the general compartments of trains, and whenever the train stopped for half an hour or so, we would rush to peep through the windows of the AC coaches, wondering how people sit inside. Now, all this has become common; I haven’t traveled by train in a long time, and I travel by flight only. But we never forgot that era, nor will we ever forget it.’
Pawan Singh, born in the village of Jokhari, Bihar, is 39 years old and has been working in Bhojpuri cinema for about 20 years.
