The SIIMA Awards in Dubai celebrated the success of the Pushpa franchise, particularly Pushpa 2: The Rule, which won five major awards. Director Sukumar, along with lead actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, music composer Devi Sri Prasad, and producer Naveen Yerneni from Mythri Movie Makers, were present. During the awards ceremony, Sukumar confirmed that Pushpa 3 is in development, generating excitement. Allu Arjun won Best Actor, Rashmika Mandanna won Best Actress, Sukumar won Best Director, Devi Sri Prasad won Best Music Composer, and Shankar Babu Kandukuri won Best Playback Singer (Male). The Pushpa series has gained international recognition. Pushpa: The Rise (2021) grossed Rs 350 crore worldwide. Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024) earned a record-breaking ₹1871 crore, making it the top-grossing Indian film of the year and the second-highest-grossing Indian film overall. The Pushpa series follows Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, a coolie-turned-smuggler, and the narrative of Pushpa 2 concludes on a cliffhanger, suggesting Pushpa 3. Sukumar is currently working on a project with Ram Charan, while Allu Arjun is involved in a science-fiction film with Atlee and Deepika Padukone. Allu Arjun has expressed interest in working on other projects before returning to Pushpa. Fans speculate that additional footage from the promotional video Where is Pushpa might be included in Pushpa 3.
