A cricketer who has played 35 T20I matches for Pakistan was arrested in London last month while playing a match in England for the Pakistan Shaheens. The player was taken from the field by Greater Manchester Police during a match against the Melbourne Cricket Club at the Canterbury ground. A woman had accused the player of rape. The London court has now delivered its verdict, providing significant relief to the player. Pakistan’s cricketer, Haider Ali, has been found not guilty in this case.
