Political tensions are escalating in Bihar, marked by rallies and heated statements. Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Rights Yatra’ has gained momentum with the inclusion of Chief Ministers Revanth Reddy and MK Stalin from southern states. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha criticized the Grand Alliance for Reddy and Stalin’s visit, calling it an insult to the state. He stated that under the leadership of the double-engine government, Bihar has gained pace and cannot be sacrificed to the anarchic efforts of political tourists like Rahul and Tejashwi.
Sinha further alleged that Rahul and Tejashwi are inherently anti-Sanatan, therefore, they are showcasing figures like MK Stalin. He questioned their intentions behind inviting leaders with anti-Sanatan and anti-Bihar views to the state, asserting that the people of Bihar feel insulted by their actions. He added that these ‘princes’ are acting irresponsibly, deliberately breaching security to create unrest and blame the government. He said that the roads and bridges used during their election tourism are a result of the NDA’s double-engine government. The double-engine government is ready to take off for the next phase of development, while the INDI alliance wants to run Bihar and Biharis like a circus. But the people of Bihar will not let their dream of becoming a ‘ringmaster’ come true and will retire them in the upcoming assembly elections.
A protest march was organized by the Bihar Pasmanda Foundation in Patna, with slogans raised against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin. The protestors carried posters with slogans like ‘No insult to Bihar,’ ‘Pasmanda society in the field,’ and ‘We will not tolerate the insult of Biharis.’ They also chanted slogans like ‘Stalin go back’ and ‘Stalin, come to your senses.’
BJP spokesperson Danish Iqbal stated that Revanth Reddy, Stalin, and Priyanka Gandhi have insulted Bihar and the Sanatan Dharma, and the citizens of Bihar are opposing them. The BJP’s national spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan and Bihar Minister Janak Ram accused previous governments of marginalizing democracy. Minister Janak Ram stated that the NDA government has given a name and identity to Bihar and the country.
Paswan said that it is necessary to see the history of those being welcomed in Bihar, referring to Dayanidhi Maran’s 2023 statement that Biharis come to clean toilets, and the pain felt by Biharis living outside the state. He added that the RJD and Congress are welcoming people like Revanth Reddy who question the DNA of Bihar. He called it a Bihar insult yatra, not a voter rights yatra.
Dr. Santosh Suman, the National President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), stated that Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi have insulted Bihar by inviting those who have insulted Biharis, and the people of Bihar will never forgive them. He added that Rahul and Tejashwi have rubbed salt into the wounds of Biharis by inviting MK Stalin after Revanth Reddy and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. He also mentioned the views of DMK leaders, and that the party and its leaders believe that Biharis are toilet cleaners. Inviting a leader who believes in eliminating Hindi-speaking states like malaria and dengue is an insult to 14 crore Biharis.
National spokesperson of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), Shrawan Kumar Agrawal, said that the public is so enraged in the state that the anger of the general public has erupted on two senior ministers of the NDA alliance of the state within just 2 days. Both ministers had to escape by saving their lives. The law and order situation in Bihar is very serious and worrying. He added that there is an atmosphere of resentment and anger among the general public in every corner of Bihar against the current NDA government. Attacks are taking place on the ministers of the state government. The state is a state of fear and fear among the people of the state due to incidents like contract killings by organized criminal gangs, murders, murders of small innocent children in the capital every day, rape of innocent girls, murder of traders and extortion from traders.
Founder of Vikassheel Insaan Party and former minister Mukesh Sahni said that the land is the land of Shaheed Jubba Sahni. When the republic came after independence, Baba Saheb gave the country a constitution, which gave the Dalits, the most backward classes, and the poor the right to live with their heads held high. Since democracy came in the country, the son of a Mallah could become a minister in the state. Today, this democracy is in danger. Today, BJP, RSS, and the Election Commission are stealing votes together in this country and are in power. Sahni said that in a democracy, the public is the owner and the time comes to change the leaders who do not do good work in five years. We will not allow vote theft in any case.
