The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has announced the senior men’s team for the upcoming Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappa Memorial Cricket Tournament, scheduled to begin on September 4th. The ACA has selected a 20-player squad, with star all-rounder Riyan Parag appointed as captain. The tournament will feature several emerging talents under Parag’s leadership, alongside experienced players like Danish Das, Swarupam Purkayastha, and Subhankar Roy. The squad also includes promising players such as Abhishek Thakur, Mukund Hussain, Anurag Talukdar, and Amlanjyoti Das, all set to make their mark in the tournament. The coaching staff has also been revealed, with Noel David as coach and manager, Rajib Ranjansri as physio, Bhesham Pratap Singh as trainer, and Rajesh Sharma as video analyst. Parag is also part of the East Zone team for the 2025 Duleep Trophy and has been assigned the vice-captaincy. He also captained Rajasthan Royals in a few matches in this year’s IPL. The Duleep Trophy 2025 starts on August 28th.
