The Maruti Ertiga, a top-selling family MPV in India, is expected to receive dimension updates soon. According to reports, the overall length of this MPV will increase from 4.39 meters to 4.43 meters. While the wheelbase will remain at 2.74 meters, the boot space is also expected to increase. However, the Ertiga Tour M fleet variant already comes with larger dimensions, so the vehicle manufacturer may further increase its dimensions. The 2025 Maruti Ertiga will feature a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as a standard safety feature, along with slight changes to the AC vents for the second row of seats. Recently, the MPV lineup was also updated with six airbags, which has led to a slight increase in its price. Currently, the Ertiga is available in 9 variants, priced between Rs 9.11 lakh and Rs 13.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Maruti Ertiga may use the existing 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine, which generates a maximum of 102 bhp and 136 Nm of torque. The CNG variant delivers 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox comes standard, while some petrol variants also get a 6-speed automatic transmission. In other updates, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch a new Arena-exclusive mid-size SUV to compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. This new model, positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, will be available for sale on September 3, 2025. The official name and details have not yet been revealed; however, the new Maruti SUV is expected to be named ‘Escudo’ or ‘Victorris’.
