Following a heartbreak from his first marriage, former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik found solace. During this time, his paths crossed with India’s star squash player, Dipika Pallikal, and they married in 2015. This marriage was unique because Dinesh Karthik married Dipika twice within two days. Their marriage has now completed 10 years. During this time, Dipika has showered her husband with love and shared their photos on social media.
Why the Two Weddings?
Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal got engaged in 2013 and, after two years, married in 2015, first in a Christian ceremony and then according to Hindu rituals. Dinesh Karthik married on August 18, 2015, in a Christian ceremony. Two days later, on August 20, he married under Hindu rites in the Telugu-Naidu style.
The reason was that Dinesh Karthik is Hindu, and Dipika Pallikal is Christian. After the consent of both families, their marriage took place according to both religions. Now, their marriage has completed 10 years. On this occasion, Dipika shared a photo of the two on Instagram and expressed her love for Karthik.
What Did Dipika Say?
Dipika Pallikal posted on Instagram on their wedding anniversary. She wrote, “10 years of marriage today and I’d still swipe right on you. Happy 10 years. Love you to the moon and back.” Dinesh Karthik also shared this post on his Instagram page.
Dinesh Karthik and Dipika have twin children. They were born in October 2021. Dinesh Karthik has begun his second innings after retiring from cricket.
