Bihar Police is continuing its crackdown on criminals. Nikhil Kumar, a wanted criminal from Nawada, has been apprehended with an illegal firearm. A joint operation by the Bihar STF and Nawada district police led to the arrest of Nikhil Kumar from an urban area on the night of August 11-12. It is noteworthy that on July 27, Nikhil Kumar and his associates had fired shots at the shop and house of businessman Neeraj Prakash Lal in Hisua market, resulting in the injury of electronics shop owner Neeraj Prakash Lal. During interrogation, the arrested criminal revealed that he had hidden the weapon used in the incident in the bushes of the Pahari Baba temple area under Hisua police station. During the recovery of the weapon, he fired at the police team. Following this, in self-defense, the police retaliated, and he was shot and admitted to the hospital. A 1 cm automatic pistol, 2 live cartridges, and 2 empty shells were recovered from the arrested individual. Criminal Nikhil Kumar has several prior criminal cases registered against him in Nawada, Arwal, and Gaya districts, including charges of dacoity, attempted murder, and violations of the Arms Act.
