The Metropolitan Police in London arrested more protesters on Sunday, charging them with violating a new law that prohibits support for the Palestine Action group. This brings the total number of arrests to over 500, following 474 arrests made at the end of the previous week. This demonstration marked the largest show of support for Palestine Action in the UK. The government recently banned Palestine Action, making support for the group a criminal offense. During the London protest, 522 individuals were arrested under the UK’s Terrorism Act, specifically for supporting a banned organization. Other individuals were detained for assaulting police officers and other offenses.
