The Governor and Chancellor, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, has assigned the charge of Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand State Open University to Dr. S.C. Dubey, the Vice-Chancellor of Birsa Agricultural University (BAU). Dr. Dubey will handle routine tasks until further notice. He will seek permission from the Chancellor for any decisions on policy matters. A notification related to this has been issued by Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor. It is known that the three-year term of Dr. Triveninath Sahu, the Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand State Open University, ended on July 4th. The Raj Bhavan had also issued an advertisement for the appointment of a Vice-Chancellor in the university, and several candidates had applied. The appointment will be made through a search committee, whose chairman is the chairman of NTA. Dr. S.C. Dubey will take charge on July 5th. Currently, the charge of the Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University has been given to Pro. D.K. Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of Nilambar-Pitambar University, the charge of the VC of Women’s University Jamshedpur has been given to Pro. Anjila Gupta, the Vice-Chancellor of Kolhan University and the charge of the Vice-Chancellor of DSPMU has been given to Anjani Kumar Mishra, the Commissioner of South Chotanagpur.
