Preparations are underway in Puri, Odisha, for the highly anticipated Jagannath Rath Yatra, also known as the Chariot Festival or Gundicha Yatra. This annual festival celebrates the journey of Lord Jagannath and is considered the most significant of the twelve Yatras. According to the Skanda Purana, the Gundicha Yatra holds unparalleled importance. The Rath Yatra, featuring the ‘four deities,’ is scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2025, marking the second day of the bright fortnight of Ashadha.
