Cattle smuggling is reportedly flourishing in the Saraypali area of Mahasamund district in Chhattisgarh. This region has gained notoriety throughout the state for its cattle smuggling activities. Several smugglers are actively involved, sending hundreds of cattle daily to Odisha, from where they are transported in trucks to slaughterhouses in West Bengal. Members of the Bajrang Dal have expressed concerns, stating that the administration does not seem to be taking adequate measures to curb cattle smuggling.
