A video documenting a shocking incident has gone viral. It shows a party worker physically assaulting the national president of the Suheldev Swabhiman Party (SSP), Mahendra Rajbhar, after garlanding him during a public gathering. The incident occurred in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, specifically in Ashapur village under the jurisdiction of the Jalalpur police station. The event was organized to commemorate Maharaja Suheldev’s victory day.
Following the release of the video, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav expressed his condemnation, describing the attack as another reprehensible example of the ongoing mistreatment and injustices inflicted upon the ‘PDA society’ under the BJP government. He further stated that if the BJP believes it can maintain its divisive political strategy by causing internal division within a community, it is mistaken. He also urged for the immediate arrest and punishment of the attacker if the BJP’s negligence wasn’t a factor in the incident. Yadav emphasized that such acts of violence would not demoralize the PDA but would instead strengthen it.
Mahendra Rajbhar has accused Om Prakash Rajbhar, the president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), of orchestrating the attack. As of yet, Om Prakash Rajbhar has not issued any public statement concerning the matter. Subsequently, Mahendra Rajbhar filed a formal complaint against Brijesh Rajbhar at the Jalalpur police station.
