Congress MP Manish Tewari has voiced his support for Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, regarding Gandhi’s statement using the phrase “Narendra Surrender” in reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tewari emphasized that the variety in India’s domestic dialogue is a strength, not a weakness.
Tewari highlighted that the differing viewpoints and narratives distinguish India from nations like Pakistan and other totalitarian states. He asserted that in a democracy, individuals possess the right to express their opinions freely.
Speaking about the mission of multi-party delegations, Tewari said that these delegations helped put Pakistan in the international spotlight. He added that the conversations with the Prime Minister were informal and comprehensive, allowing for a sharing of collected insights from various nations. Tewari believes the initiative of sending delegations abroad would support the proscription of states that employ terrorism as a tool of state policy. He noted that the groundwork laid by the delegations worldwide should now be further developed by the foreign office, with the goal of creating an international coalition against state-sponsored terrorism.
Tewari was a member of a multi-party delegation that visited several countries as part of India’s global outreach, ‘Operation Sindoor,’ led by NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule.
