Raipur. On the occasion of World Environment Day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today planted almond plant under the ‘Name of a tree mother’ in the High School grounds in Sambalpur in Kanker district. This program is a strong initiative towards making environmental protection a mass movement in the state. On this occasion, along with the Chief Minister, Kanker MP Bhojraj Nag, Antagarh MLA Vikram Dev Usendi, MLA Asharam Netam and many public representatives and common citizens also enthusiastically planted trees.
Chief Minister Sai said that the campaign in the name of a tree mother is not limited to plantation only, it is a concept of reverence for mother, gratitude to nature and a safe future for future generations. When we plant a tree in the name of our mother, there is emotional connection in it and we also take care of it with all our hearts. He appealed to the common citizens to participate in this campaign and plant at least one tree in the name of his mother, adorable deity. The Chief Minister said that this initiative will prove to be a milestone towards making Chhattisgarh a green state. The campaign is an innovative initiative to a tree mother’s name, which aims to connect social and emotional concerns with environmental awareness.
