Action has been taken against the female scientist Chandrika Kanwar seeking bribe from Chhattisgarh Environmental Protection Board. The headquarters of the woman scientist has been suspended, suspending the environment board. Women scientist Chandrika Kanwar was accused of demanding a bribe of Rs. 4-4 thousand from Dr. Mahendra Dewangan of Kanti Devi Smriti Hospital, Kharora along with a fellow officer. The matter was reported to the Environment Minister Mohammad Akbar through the IMA.
After investigation, action was taken against women scientist, besides environment board is investigating another officer. According to the complaint of the IMA, a team of two people, including a woman officer from Raipur, reached Kharora in an official carriage, where they inspected Kanti Devi Smriti Hospital and imposed a fine of lakhs of rupees, counting some flaws. Then pressing the case demanded a bribe of 4-4 thousand rupees and came back to Raipur. After this, the senior doctor made a written complaint to the environment minister Mohammad Akbar through the Indian Medical Association. After which the woman scientist was suspended.
