The year-long silence of the Corona era is soon going to break with the thrill of cricket. Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar’s company Road Safety World Cricket Tournament is going to be held from March 2 to 21 at Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur. Teams from India, South Africa, Australia, West Indies and Sri Lanka will participate in this competition. Those teams include players like Jonty Rhodes, Brett Lee, Brian Lara and Muttiah Muralitharan in addition to Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar. There is an international competition taking place in this stadium after 5 years. CM Bhupesh Baghel has also agreed to organize this World Cricket Series. The Chief Minister will be the chief guest of this event. Sunil Gavaskar requested CM Bhupesh to conduct the tournament in Raipur by phone, which the CM approved. The main objective of this event is to raise awareness about the importance of road safety in India.
