Children’s hostel will be constructed at a cost of one crore 90 lakh 19 thousand in the fort of the Government Polytechnic College. This will provide hostel facility to the girl students coming for teaching from remote areas. Durg MLA Arun Vora performed Bhoomipujan on Thursday to start the construction work. Durg Mayor Dhiraj Bakaliwal was also present during this.
Durg MLA Arun Vora said that hundreds of students come from remote areas to Durg, the Government Polytechnic College. Keeping in view the facilities of these students, there was a demand for hostel construction for a long time. Constant efforts are being made to provide better facilities to the students. In this episode, a 50-seater hostel, warden room and canteen will be constructed at a cost of one crore 90 lakh 19 thousand rupees. Bhumi Pujan has been done to start this work. After the hostel construction, better accommodation will be available in the campus itself. This will also save students’ time. The MLA told that earlier also Bhumi Pujan was started for the construction of three additional classrooms at the cost of 73 lakhs in the Polytechnic College, which will save their time.
