Youth Arrive on Educational Tour Under Swami Vivekananda Youth Incentive Scheme: First Time Seeing Railway Station, Legislative Assembly, and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram
Raipur, March 18, 2025/Today was a historic day for the youth from remote villages of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh. Under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Incentive Scheme, 119 youths from villages like Silger, Puwarti, Elmagunda, Lakhapal, Shalatong, Sakler, Chotekedwal, Bagdeguda, and Bedre, included in the Niyad Nellanar scheme, stepped out of their villages for the first time and reached Raipur, the capital. During this educational tour, the youth visited the railway station, the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, and the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
During their arrival in the capital, the youth toured the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly and sat in the visitors’ gallery to watch the proceedings of the House, which made them very enthusiastic. On this occasion, they met the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. Discussing with the youth, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the youth can spread peace, harmony, and the light of development in their villages if they wish.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma inquired about the condition of their villages from the youth. He assured the youth that the state government is committed to providing essential facilities like paved roads, electricity, clean drinking water, ration, medical care, and housing in their villages. He appealed to the youth to take maximum advantage of government schemes and said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, we will all together make Chhattisgarh a developed and prosperous state.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma discussed a special strategy for the economic development of the villages under the Niyad Nellanar scheme. He informed that new security camps have been established near these villages, which will strengthen the security system in Maoist-affected areas and ensure that the benefits of the government’s welfare schemes reach everyone.
Notably, many villagers who reached the capital for the first time after 75 years of independence closely witnessed the progress of the state and expressed their desire to contribute to the development of their villages in the future. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is continuously ensuring that basic facilities reach remote areas in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh and that the people there join the mainstream of development. The state government is working rapidly to provide basic facilities in the Maoist-affected areas of the state.
The benefits of various schemes of the state government are now being extended to these remote villages, so that the youth can be connected to education, health, employment and the mainstream of development. The Swami Vivekananda Youth Incentive Scheme and the Niyad Nella Nar scheme run by the government are an important step in this direction, which is helping to connect rural youth with the development process of the state. This initiative has not only brought a new ray of hope for the youth of these villages, but it also gives a glimpse of the bright future of Chhattisgarh.
