Sudhir Dantodia, Bhopal. Now another achievement has been added to the name of Madhya Pradesh. MP is the leading state in the country in sickle cell screening. Till now, 100% target has been achieved by screening more than 90 lakhs. Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla said that the Madhya Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is committed to the ‘Sickle Cell Eradication Mission’ as per the wish of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Deputy CM said that the state government has set a target of making the state sickle cell free within the stipulated time. Madhya Pradesh has completed its annual target in sickle cell screening campaign ahead of time. Till now, 100 percent target has been achieved by screening a total of 90 lakh 98 thousand 902 people in the state for sickle cell. By registering the achievement of distribution of 53 lakh 87 thousand 892 sickle cell cards (59.21%), achieved the highest position in the country.

Rajendra Shukla has heartily congratulated the state health department, all the health workers and the workers working at the grassroots level for this achievement. He said that this achievement is the result of the commitment of the state government and the tireless efforts made at the grassroots level. The state government is ready to further improve its services for the treatment and awareness of sickle cell.
