Loksabha Election 2024: Indifference towards women in Haryana, tickets for only 4 out of 10 seats

Loksabha Election 2024: New Delhi. Be it studies or sports, the daughters-in-law of Haryana are bringing glory to the state in the country and the world. But she seems to be lagging behind in politics. The situation in Haryana is such that the major parties have given tickets to only 4 women candidates on 10 Lok Sabha seats.

Of these, one woman candidate each has been given ticket from Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress. Whereas, like the national parties, Jannayak Janata Party and Indian National Lok Dal have also fielded one woman candidate each from Hisar Lok Sabha seat. Among these, there are some women candidates who have been given tickets due to political compulsion.

BJP has fielded Banto Kataria in Ambala. Banto Kataria is the wife of late Ratan Lal Kataria. According to political experts, the party wants to take advantage of the sympathy vote by giving ticket to Banto Kataria.

INLD has made Sunaina Chautala its candidate from Hisar. He got the advantage of it being a family party in getting the ticket. She is the granddaughter-in-law of Devi Lal. Congress has made Kumari Selja its candidate for Sirsa seat. Political experts are attributing the ticket to Selja to factionalism in the state. Former Hooda knew that Selja was the strongest candidate in the state. JJP has made Naina Chautala its candidate from Hisar. She is the mother of former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, Dushyant Chautala.
